Far Pines is the latest musical project from Kevin Manning, a Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter and winner of the 2012 Milkboy Open Mic Songwriters’ contest.

Growing up in Philadelphia around a musical family, Manning was captured by music from an early age. When he picked up a guitar at the age of 14, he taught himself to play and a life-long love of making music was born.

After winning the Milkboy Open Mic Songwriter’s Contest in 2012, he released his debut EP, “Leaving St. Paul.” The Indie Folx radio station included the album’s song “Stars” in their “Best Indie/Folk/Acoustic Songs // Playlist #15.”

His most recent performances include opening for David Wax Museum at Johnny Brenda’s New Year’s Eve show in Philadelphia. Manning has also opened for Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Ivan & Aloysha.
